Tyra Cox of Miami Northwestern had a busy day at the Florida state track and field championships on Saturday. She ran a US#1 time of 51.44 seconds in the 400 meters, won the 200 meters in 22.99 seconds, and also placed third in the 100 in 11.77 seconds...

Ariyanna Griggs of Dillard won the Class 3A girls 100 meters in 11.74 seconds and also took third in the 200 meters in 23.90 seconds on Saturday at the Florida state track and field championships. 

Andrew Beroset of Gulf Breeze ran a time of 8:58.27 for second place in a competitive Class 3A boys 3,200 meters final on Saturday at the Florida state track and field championships. The sophomore also placed fifth in the 1,600 meters in 4:15.46.

Braylen Bennett from American Heritage was a double winner in the Class 3A boys sprints in times of 10.59 seconds and 20.66 seconds at the Florida state track and field championships. 

Ava Heskett from Gulf Coast ran a winning time of 2:09.85 to win the girls 800 meters at the Florida state track and field championships on Saturday.

Tayeshawn Rochelle from Gainesville, who was injured last year and couldn't advance to the state championships, came all the way back on Saturday and won the 400-meter hurdles in US#3 52.44 seconds in Florida's Class 3A finals.

Cai Culpepper of Tampa Prep, a freshman, ran a time of 52.82 to win the girls Class 1A 400 meters title at the Florida state championships. She also won the 200 in 23.69 seconds.
